Date Night

Some months ago we had bought tickets for the theater. It was a one-man show with Bill Cosby and  we were both looking forward to the show because this guy is totally hilarious. Life should be a party so we decided to go anyway.
We booked a hotel room a couple blocks from the theater on Hilton hotel reward points (Thank you SCA for sponsoring), had a delicious dinner in the hotel and went to see the show, armed with pills and a bottle of ant-acids so as not to disturb the people around us with unexpected hick-ups, an apparent side effect of the chemo.

  1. Date Night..... it also reminds me of the great times we had in and around 1742 Ferry Street in Eugene, with the students in the appartment behind us: one of them being Bonnie.
Life most certainly was a party in our Eugene U of O times. We created a sort of Dutch Party House in Ferry Street.

  2. And a little bit later on we discovered the Haalmeijers: Ab and Trudy with their (then) three youngsters. A friendship for life developed between us. And it is still there, though we all are not living around the corner anymore. Europe, Toronto, Oregon, in the mind only a split second away...
    And friendships remain.
